The debate keeps going back and forth, on whether people should cook or eat out. While everyone agrees that eating at home is likely to offer a better meal at a lower price, the whole cooking process stands in the way in a big way. And we have not even mentioned doing the dishes after!
Restaurants know this and are doing their best to take advantage of peoples’ laziness to make a killing.
In the days past, eating out was viewed as a way to treat oneself or others. Later, it became a way to save time to deal with other issues in an increasingly busy world. Takeaways appeared to be the best way to have dinner at home, without going through the hassle of cooking.
And just when you thought diners had been wooed enough, in came home deliveries, and the goose was well and truly cooked. Seriously, which one is more appealing, beginning to prepare ingredients or just picking up the phone and making an order? No answer required for that.
Campaigns are still rife in support of home cooking, but you can bet restaurants will continue to make the attempts futile.
